§ 1 — Meaning of the string Q118·Q120

“Bland” is an English word meaning lacking strong features, flavor, or interest. That dictionary meaning is unrelated to the applied-for use. The string refers to Intelliga Corporation’s Bland AI brand and its products and services.

/blænd/

§ 2 — Mission and purpose Q133

1. Mission and Purpose

The mission and purpose of the .bland gTLD is to establish a trusted, secure, and identifiable namespace for Intelliga Corporation and its Bland AI brand, products, services, technologies, and related activities.

The .bland gTLD is intended to support Intelliga Corporation's current and future digital presence and provide an authenticated namespace through which users, customers, business partners, and other stakeholders can identify and interact with Bland AI products and services. Domain names may be used for websites, applications, artificial intelligence and communications services, customer resources, product information, marketing initiatives, technical infrastructure, and other digital activities associated with Intelliga Corporation and the Bland AI brand.

The Registry intends to maintain the .bland gTLD as an internally controlled namespace. Registrations will not be offered for unrestricted registration by the general public. Domain names may be registered and used by Intelliga Corporation and, where appropriate, its affiliates or other authorized users in accordance with the Registry's registration policies.

Operating .bland as a controlled namespace is intended to promote security, authenticity, and consumer trust by providing a recognizable online environment associated with Intelliga Corporation and Bland AI. The Registry will retain flexibility to develop new uses for the namespace as the Applicant's business, products, services, and technologies evolve.

2. Sustainability

Intelliga Corporation intends to operate the .bland gTLD as a long-term strategic brand and digital infrastructure asset rather than as a source of third-party domain registration revenue.

The Applicant will fund the startup and ongoing operation of the .bland gTLD from its existing financial resources. The Registry's financial projections provide for the technical, administrative, compliance, and other costs associated with operating the TLD, and the Applicant has committed to make sufficient financial resources available to support its continued operation.

The Registry will use qualified service providers to support the secure and reliable technical operation of the .bland gTLD and will maintain appropriate administrative, security, compliance, and operational processes throughout the life of the TLD.

The controlled registration model also supports long-term sustainability by allowing the Applicant to scale the number and use of .bland domain names according to its business and operational requirements without depending upon public registration volumes or registration revenue.

Intelliga Corporation intends to maintain and develop the .bland namespace as its business evolves, allowing the TLD to support future products, services, technologies, communications, and other digital initiatives while maintaining the security, stability, and integrity of the namespace.

§ 3 — Commitments and safeguards Q164–Q188

More trustworthy, consumer risk, regulated sector, government reporting, harm, government function Q164–Q169No to each
Voluntary Safeguard PICs Q170·Q171None · 90 applications in the round offer some
Registry Voluntary Commitments Q172·Q173None · 5 do
Code of Conduct exemption requested Q185·Q188

Application of the Registry Operator Code of Conduct to the .bland TLD is not necessary to protect the public interest because .bland is intended to operate as an internally controlled, single-registrant namespace for the Bland AI brand and will not be operated as a TLD offering registrations to the general public.

Registrations within .bland will be limited to Intelliga Corporation, its affiliates, and other authorized users consistent with the Registry's registration policies. The Registry Operator will maintain control over the registration and use of domain names within the TLD. The .bland TLD therefore will not create the competitive concerns between a registry operator, registrars, and unaffiliated registrants that the Code of Conduct is intended to address. Exemption from the Code of Conduct will not disadvantage registrars, registrants, or other third parties or otherwise adversely affect the public interest.

The Applicant also intends for .bland to qualify as a Brand TLD. The BLAND trademark was registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on August 4, 2026, only eight days before the application deadline. Because the corresponding Signed Mark Data (SMD) file has not yet been issued, the Applicant is unable to complete the Brand TLD designation as part of its initial application.

Following Reveal Day, the Applicant intends to submit an Application Change Request to designate .bland as a Brand TLD once the required trademark documentation, including the SMD file, is available. The intended registration and operational model for .bland is consistent with that planned Brand TLD designation.
