§ 1 — Meaning of the string Q118·Q120

§ 2 — Mission and purpose Q133

1. Mission and Purpose of the .notion gTLD

The .notion gTLD is a closed, single-registrant brand TLD operated by Notion International Inc. It is intended to provide a secure, trusted, and controlled namespace supporting the services, platforms, infrastructure, and digital properties of Notion Labs, Inc. and its affiliated entities.

The goal of the .notion gTLD is to promote and reinforce the Notion brand while supporting secure, reliable access to Notion-operated services. The TLD will enable authenticated and verifiable domain usage, reducing risks associated with abuse, phishing, and impersonation, and improving secure access to Notion-operated services across its global network.

Consistent with Specification 13, registration of domain names in the .notion TLD will be limited to Notion, its affiliates, and, where applicable, its trademark licensees (as defined in Specification 13 of the Base Registry Agreement). Domain names registered to such entities will be used only for activities reasonably related to Notion's business, including the provision, promotion, and support of Notion's services.

Through these controls, the .notion gTLD will function as a trusted and authenticated namespace supporting the delivery of Notion's services worldwide.

2. Sustainability of the Purpose Over Time

The purpose of the .notion gTLD is sustainable over time because it is directly aligned with Notion's core business, long-term strategy, and mission.

The .notion TLD will remain integral to Notion’s operations by supporting its global network, enabling trusted service delivery, and reinforcing its brand across evolving technologies, including distributed applications and emerging use cases such as artificial intelligence.

As a closed, single-registrant TLD, .notion will remain fully under Notion’s control, ensuring consistent governance, security standards, and operational stability. Ongoing investment in Notion’s infrastructure and services will further support the continued relevance and use of the TLD as a trusted and resilient namespace within the Internet ecosystem.

Spec 11 §3(d) statement Q184

The Applicant intends to operate the .notion gTLD as a closed .Brand TLD in accordance with Specification 13 of the Registry Agreement. The Applicant is a wholly owned subsidiary of Notion Labs, Inc., the Applicant's Qualified Parent Entity ("QPE"), which owns the registered NOTION trademark. Registration of domain names within the .notion TLD will be limited to the Applicant, its Affiliates, and, where applicable, Trademark Licensees, and all domain names will be used solely for purposes reasonably related to the business of the Applicant and/or its QPE.

Because registrations will not be offered to the general public and the Applicant will maintain centralized control over all registrations and domain name use, operation of the .notion gTLD will not create any conflict with Section 3(d) of Specification 11. The Applicant will operate the TLD in compliance with all applicable provisions of the Registry Agreement, including Specifications 11 and 13.
