§ 1 — Sens de la chaîne Q118·Q120
To share is to make content, information, items, spaces, or costs available to others.
/ʃɛr/
§ 2 — Mission et objet Q133
The proposed .share top-level domain represents the broad, everyday activity of sharing: making content, information, items, spaces, or costs available to others. People share photos and documents, split expenses, lend tools, offer rides, and share updates every day.
Intercap Registry proposes to operate .share as an open namespace, available for registration by the general public without restriction.
Intended registrants include individuals, creators, businesses, and organizations of all kinds that distribute, exchange, or make things available to others. Intended users are members of the general public taking part in those exchanges.
Intercap Registry will make .share names available worldwide through ICANN-accredited registrars, promote awareness and adoption of the namespace, publish its registration policies ahead of launch, operate the TLD openly, respond promptly to reports of abuse, and comply with applicable safeguards.
Demand for this category is sustainable: sharing content and resources is a standing feature of websites, businesses, and organizations across every sector, and is not tied to any trend, technology, or single company.

Q121As per Section 3(d) of Specification 11 of the Base Registry Agreement, a registry operator of a “generic string” may not impose eligibility criteria for registering names in the TLD that limit registrations exclusively to a single person or entity and/or that person’s or entity’s “Affiliates” (as defined in Section 2.9(c) of the Registry Agreement). “Generic String” means a string consisting of a word or term that denominates or describes a general class of goods, services, groups, organizations or things, as opposed to distinguishing a specific brand of goods, services, groups, organizations or things from those of others. Confirm that the applied-for string is not a “generic string” in which the applying entity intends to limit registrations exclusively to a single person or entity.
