§ 1 — Sens de la chaîne Q118·Q120
Airo is the trademarked name of a GoDaddy product.
/ˈɛroʊ/
§ 2 — Mission et objet Q133
1. Mission and Purpose
Registry Services LLC (GoDaddy Registry), a subsidiary of GoDaddy Inc., is applying for the .airo top-level domain as a dotBrand TLD under Specification 13 of the Registry Agreement. The mission of .airo is to serve as a dedicated, trusted namespace for GoDaddy and its affiliates, a controlled digital environment that reflects the AIRO brand and supports the full range of the applicant's business activities, from internal operations to customer-facing services.
The intended registrants of .airo are exclusively Registry Services LLC and its affiliates, consistent with Specification 13's requirement. Use of .airo will be governed by Registry internal policies and will remain tightly controlled to protect the integrity and trust associated with the AIRO brand.
The Registry intends to deploy .airo across a range of use cases, including internal corporate infrastructure as well as customer-facing sites and services supporting its AI-powered tools that help small businesses build websites, generate logos, and manage marketing online, and the broader GoDaddy ecosystem. The .airo namespace will enable GoDaddy to organize, authenticate, and present its digital presence under a single, recognizable, brand-controlled TLD, enhancing trust and reducing the risk of phishing, impersonation, and namespace confusion that can arise under generic TLDs.
2. Sustainability Over Time
The .airo TLD is designed to be a long-term strategic asset for Registry Services LLC. GoDaddy Inc., the publicly traded parent company of Registry Services LLC, is an established and financially stable company with long-standing operations in the domain registry and small business technology sectors. The ongoing operational costs of maintaining a dotBrand TLD are well within the applicant's organizational capacity, and Registry Services LLC has the technical infrastructure and vendor relationships necessary to support registry operations in compliance with ICANN's requirements.
Because .airo will function as a closed, single-registrant TLD under Specification 13, it does not depend on third-party registration revenue for sustainability. The TLD's value is derived from its role within the applicant's broader business, not from commercial registration activity. Registry Services LLC views .airo as a living asset whose specific use cases will develop over time, while remaining anchored to the AIRO brand and subject to Specification 13's requirements throughout the term of the Registry Agreement.

Confirm that the applied-for string is not a “generic string” in which the applying entity intends to limit registrations exclusively to a single person or entity.
