§ 1 — Sens de la chaîne Q118·Q120

A global crypto and Web3 brand

/ˌoʊ.keɪˈɛks/

§ 2 — Mission et objet Q133

OKX is a worldwide cryptocurrency exchange and blockchain services company. It supports a global ecosystem encompassing digital-asset trading, self-custody wallets, payments, developer tools, decentralized finance and other Web3 applications, including X Layer, an Ethereum-compatible public blockchain that uses OKX as its native gas token.

The mission and purpose of the .OKX gTLD is to: (1) establish a trusted and intuitive online namespace through which Internet users can identify and access authentic OKX information, services and initiatives; (2) protect OKX’s global brand identity, trademarks and other intellectual property rights; (3) provide a secure and authoritative channel for organizational communications, ecosystem information, developer resources, community engagement, partnerships and marketing activities; (4) improve user navigation through short, memorable and recognizable Internet addresses associated with OKX and authorized OKX initiatives; and (5) support OKX’s continued growth by providing a flexible digital platform for new services, technologies, partnerships, geographic markets and ecosystem activities.

OKC Holdings Corporation anticipates introducing the .OKX gTLD through a measured and controlled rollout. Initial registrations may support technical testing, organizational communications, ecosystem information, developer and community resources, educational materials and selected marketing activities. Over time, the namespace may be expanded for use by affiliates, regional operations, strategic partners, service providers, collaborators and other authorized parties, subject to applicable registration and use requirements.

Through this approach, .OKX will provide a sustainable, secure, recognizable and flexible digital environment that supports it’s mission of advancing decentralized technologies, strengthening its global ecosystem and providing users with a trusted means of identifying authentic OKX-related content, resources and initiatives.

Déclaration Spec 11 §3(d) Q184

OKC Holdings Corporation intends to operate the applied-for top-level domain as a restricted, single-registrant namespace for the benefit of OKC Holdings Corporation and its “Affiliates,” as that term is defined in Section 2.9(c) of the applicable Registry Agreement.

The applied-for string is a brand term used by OKC Holdings Corporation to identify and distinguish its own products and services. It is not a term that names or describes a general class of goods, services, groups, organizations, or things. OKC Holdings Corporation, directly or through its Affiliates, owns one or more trademark registrations for the applied-for string in jurisdictions in which it operates, consistent with its treatment and use of the term as a proprietary brand identifier.

Accordingly, the applied-for string does not constitute a “Generic String” as defined in Specification 11 of the Registry Agreement. Because the restriction in Section 3(d) of Specification 11 applies only to top-level domains consisting of Generic Strings, that restriction is not applicable, and no conflict exists.

Q121As per Section 3(d) of Specification 11 of the Base Registry Agreement, a registry operator of a “generic string” may not impose eligibility criteria for registering names in the TLD that limit registrations exclusively to a single person or entity and/or that person’s or entity’s “Affiliates” (as defined in Section 2.9(c) of the Registry Agreement). “Generic String” means a string consisting of a word or term that denominates or describes a general class of goods, services, groups, organizations or things, as opposed to distinguishing a specific brand of goods, services, groups, organizations or things from those of others. Confirm that the applied-for string is not a “generic string” in which the applying entity intends to limit registrations exclusively to a single person or entity.
