§ 2 — Mission et objet Q133

The mission of .DRAGON is to create a distinctive namespace for the cultural, creative, entertainment, sporting, educational, and commercial communities inspired by dragons. With their enduring presence across mythology, folklore, art, literature, games, film, festivals, and popular culture, dragons provide a globally recognizable theme for a broad and expressive digital namespace.

Intended registrants include creators, publishers, game and entertainment businesses, esports organizations, cultural and sporting groups, museums and educators, artists and artisans, event organizers, retailers, hospitality businesses, fan communities, and individuals with a meaningful connection to the theme. Intended users include audiences seeking related entertainment, culture, products, events, communities, and educational resources.

Natural and legitimate uses include creative and media projects, games and esports, cultural and sporting events, fan and community sites, educational resources, mythology and folklore content, retail and hospitality, entertainment, personal sites, and other relevant products, services, and experiences.

The purpose is sustainable because dragons have longstanding cross-cultural significance and continue to feature prominently in mythology, storytelling, entertainment, gaming, art, festivals, sport, and commerce. This combination of enduring cultural relevance and continuing creative use provides a broad foundation for long-term interest in the .DRAGON namespace.
