§ 1 — Meaning of the string Q118·Q120
TRUMP is a surname that has acquired distinctiveness and secondary meaning through decades of continuous, substantially exclusive commercial use. Owned by DTTM Operations LLC, it functions primarily as a source identifier.
tɹʌmp
§ 2 — Mission and purpose Q133
DTTM TLD LLC is applying for the .trump top-level domain as a dotBrand TLD under
Specification 13 of the Registry Agreement. The mission of .trump is to serve as a dedicated,
trusted namespace for DTTM TLD LLC and its affiliates. This controlled digital environment
reflects the Trump brand and supports the full range of the applicant's business activities, from
internal operations to customer-facing services.
The intended registrants of .trump are exclusively DTTM TLD LLC and its affiliates, consistent
with Specification 13's requirement. DTTM TLD LLC's internal policies will govern use of .trump
and will remain tightly controlled to protect the integrity and trust associated with the Trump
brand.
DTTM TLD LLC intends to deploy .trump across a range of use cases, including internal
corporate infrastructure as well as customer-facing sites and services supporting the broader
Trump Organization ecosystem. The .trump namespace will enable DTTM TLD LLC to organize,
authenticate, and present its digital presence under a single, recognizable, brand-controlled
TLD, enhancing trust and reducing the risk of phishing, impersonation, and namespace
confusion that can arise under generic TLDs.
The .trump TLD is designed to be a long-term strategic asset for DTTM TLD LLC. DTTM TLD
LLC is affiliated with a well-established and financially stable organization with long-standing
business operations across multiple sectors. The ongoing operational costs of maintaining a
dotBrand TLD are well within the applicant's organizational capacity, and DTTM TLD LLC has
the technical infrastructure and vendor relationships necessary to support registry operations in
compliance with ICANN's requirements.
Because .trump will function as a closed, single-registrant TLD under Specification 13, it does
not depend on third-party registration revenue for sustainability. The TLD's value is derived from
its role within the applicant's broader business, not from commercial registration activity. DTTM
TLD LLC views .trump as a living asset whose specific use cases will develop over time, while
remaining anchored to the Trump brand and subject to Specification 13's requirements
throughout the term of the Registry Agreement.

Q121As per Section 3(d) of Specification 11 of the Base Registry Agreement, a registry operator of a “generic string” may not impose eligibility criteria for registering names in the TLD that limit registrations exclusively to a single person or entity and/or that person’s or entity’s “Affiliates” (as defined in Section 2.9(c) of the Registry Agreement). “Generic String” means a string consisting of a word or term that denominates or describes a general class of goods, services, groups, organizations or things, as opposed to distinguishing a specific brand of goods, services, groups, organizations or things from those of others. Confirm that the applied-for string is not a “generic string” in which the applying entity intends to limit registrations exclusively to a single person or entity.
